Do I really have a mouse in my house?
If you spot a mouse in your house, then there are several steps you need to take. Most of them are pretty simple and we have laid them out in previous posts. But what happens if you’re not really sure if you have a mouse or not? You think you saw something move, but you never actually spotted the mouse directly.
You heard some noises but you’re not 100% sure that that was a mouse. Most people are in this exact dilemma and prefer to think that the noises and shadows are anything but a mouse. They avoid buying glue mouse traps until they really need to. But reality has a way of stepping in front of our faces and sooner or later you will see it. So how about you make sure that you see it on your own terms?
Set a few mouse glue traps and look for some of these signs in your kitchen area:
- Small dark pieces of mouse faeces. They look like small dots, usually in corners or in cabinets. Mice need their privacy in the bathroom too. It’s just that in this case their bathroom is your kitchen cabinet.
- Holes in food packaging and signs of bites. Take a look at any exposed food in your home. Is the plastic wrapper intact completely? Look for small holes. They can nibble off the plastic faster then you can say “Aahhh! Get that mouse out of here!”
