Catchmaster traps, Disposable Fly Trap, Humane Mouse Trap, Mouse Glue Trap, Sticky Mouse Trap and more…
I used to think mice were cute. My brother even had two as pets growing up and I used to have so much fun watching them crawl through their little plastic mouse maze in their cage—probably because there was a layer of glass between us.
But I don’t think they’re so cute anymore. I had a change of heart recently when I discovered one in my kitchen, munching on god knows what. Now, mice are dead to me. You hear me mice? DEAD! Well not literally since I use humane mouse traps, but you get my drift. I also researched a few tips on how to keep the rodents at bay. A few chemical-free tactics to use in addition to handy catchmaster traps. Here’s what I found:
-Seal existing crevices, cracks, holes in your home’s interior. A mouse can fit through something as small as a quarter of an inch, so leave no stone unturned.
-As far as the exterior of your home goes, don’t leave overgrown brush around, piles of leaves, stacks of old newspapers, etc. Really anything that looks like it could harbor a few mice
-Peppermint oil is a great all-natural mouse deterrent. If you feel there’s a mouse in the house, soak a few cotton balls in peppermint oil and place them around the house. It works the same a wooden cross or wreath works for keeping vampires away!
